Overview:

In today’s world, safety concerns are a growing reality for legal professionals. This program will explore practical steps attorneys can take to safeguard themselves, their staff, and their workplaces against threats—both in and out of the office. Participants will gain insight into risk awareness, security planning, and protective measures, all while staying within the bounds of the law and professional responsibility.

Matthew F.  Stowe – Porter Wright

Matt is a member of the firm’s Litigation Department where his practice focuses on white collar defense, corporate investigations, government affairs and appellate litigation. He is an accomplished criminal and civil litigator with experience at all levels of federal and state government.

For nearly three decades, Matt has served in both private and public practice roles: he has worked with litigation clients at large law firms in Washington, D.C., and Texas, and he has represented the state of Texas as Deputy Solicitor General and the state of Tennessee as elected District Attorney.

In addition, Matt has clerked for Justice Sandra Day O’Connor of the United States Supreme Court, Judge J. Michael Luttig of the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit, and Judge John Everett Williams of the Tennessee Court of Criminal Appeals.
